WORST HOSTEL EVER!!!!!
First off, the guy that’s at the front desk is an a**whole. He makes the most corniest racist jokes ever and he’s very offensive. He gets off on making people feel ashamed. He spies on people on a constant basis, which I feel uncomfortable of. He talks down on people, a few from which I’ve seen during my 2 days there. Second, there are prostitutes that walk up and down the street where the hostel is located. I don’t feel comfortable as a girl seeing this. Third, there is consistent construction noise throughout the entire day over there, I asked the construction crew how long will this last for, they said it should be done in about 8 months!! The owner should really be concerned about how his guy is running this place. He will never get repeat business from me today or my family or friends. I will make more complaints as well. There are better and similar priced hostels in DC. Don’t fall for this price trap!

Honest truth about Hostel Duo
This is by far the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at in my life... I’m a well travelled person and do not have many expectations, especially from hostels. The manager at this hostel is by far the worst and very rude and judge mental, his jokes are rude and he is arrogant and extremely ignorant. He asks for all your information meanwhile giving you his judgement towards it. His name is AZ, he knows all of our information, yet we don’t know a single thing about him. He is very ruly, has no patience and forces people who are shy or unwilling to meet others to be “together”, while at the same time getting into confrontation with many of the guests. I will never book another night at this place. There’s constant construction noise from the building next door and I will not go through being belittled by this owner wannabe. Do yourselves a favor and book a stay at DC lofty, it’s much more of a chill environment and the kitchen is huge! The staff are LAID BACK and are extremely humble and REAL! The rules here at DC lofty get too intense to even make your stay worthwhile, even for a night. The REAL owner, Sachs, should definitely check up on the guy he has running the place, who goes by the name AZ. DISGRACEFUL and a WASTE.

Great place
Great place to stay, I will definitely be back there. Staff is really friendly. We had a pizza and movie night, I had a good time with all the people and free pizza!! The common areas are comfortable, the wi-fi has good speed and the tv is good size. Pancakes in the morning are fresh and delicious. The best location!!

Definitely not for you if privacy is a must! If u reserve a solo room or room for 2 people only ur request goes unnoticed! I never slept in bunk beds as an adult & give places like this a thumbs down on concept but price shows why it’s clustered like this

Third world in USA
Check In was good, but breakfast is simply tea, coffee, and pancakes after 9AM. I suggest you purchase bug spray repellant, and disinfectant spray and possibly bring your own bed roll. I came it after 9PM three nights if my stay and found persons I did not know sleeping in my assigned bed. The staff was non chalant and offered to change the linens and such, but you know what that feels like. They ask that you remove your shoes, but the carpet is filthy and there are broken windows that are not being replaced. In addition, safety is not what you get. Next time I think I might bypass and take my chances in the bus station. Oh...if you want coffee the fork on the gauge is to pushed down to dispense.

Worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Not bearable.
The bed is small and wasn’t comfortable, people talking on the phone and screaming in the hallway and partying until 2-3 AM, one room next to another I can hear everything they can hear everything they say. people slamming door all night.
