Good service
The front desk staff was very helpful. Although it is a low building, we were able to enjoy the night view of Manhattan, including the top of the Empire State Building. Be careful as breakfast can be very crowded depending on the time of day. Even though accommodation costs in New York are rising, the price is about 1.5 times what we would expect.

Great value
Great hotel for the price. Rooftop offered great views of the city. Complimentary breakfast saved us a lot of time and money. Easy 15 minute commute to Manhattan. No complaints!

Not Happy
The WiFi did not work. The front desk said they would check and call me back. They didn’t. The next time I called front desk, they said that the problem was in the area and they couldn’t do anything about it. Why didn’t the hotel contact me to let me know before I arrived? Why didn’t they offer to reduce my bill or give me a discount on my next stay? The furniture and baseboards in the room were scuffed. The remote didn’t work. The stand-alone coat rack wobbled back and forth.

This is such a great jump off for an NYC trip. Easy access to great transportation, a lovely local neighborhood, and the roof deck is great for hanging out and checking the skyline. It’s a fairly utilitarian vibe. No frills, but totally functional. I was here for four nights and it did the job.
