Loved our stay at Grand Kumala. Rebooked for March next year. The bathroom could use a good scrub and the beds could use a mattress topper but we loved it … the staff, the location, the simple but ample breakfast, the pools, the food and service were amazing .. definitely recommend if you like Bali style living 👍

The staff was very attentive, they took care of anything I needed. The area was central to everything. The grounds and the pool areas are kept immaculate. I would stay at the grand kumala again.

We had to change rooms several times due to lack of maintenance and cleanliness in some of the rooms. The rooms had broken showers, basins taps, air conditioners, and mould problems. We have stayed there before and some rooms are better than others but you have to be lucky!
There is a very rude male staff member at breakfast who needs to learn how to speak to guests in a more polite manner.
However the pool and restaurant are quite good.

Great budget option
This is a great budget option. Although it is much more enjoyable in the quiet season than the busy. Clean enough. Good breakfast. Location is great. Could do with some more maintenance. But for the price it is alright.

Our room was dirty, not the cleanest, we got a dingy little room, bright like daylight at night, the little fat security guard let some predator follow my daughter to our room demanding money, he obviously wasn't out front watching properly

Bathroom mouldy and shower very narrow. Room was dark. Breakfast buffet very simple and limited but ok. 2nd pool at back better than the smaller one at the front. Staff generally a bit indifferent. Wifi worked well.

Fair price, good value
First time in Bali, didn’t know what to expect. Hotel was inexpensive, had air conditioning. A little run down, but they are working on it. Breakfast included, just fruit, eggs and bread with juice, coffee or tea. Also something Indonesia daily. Comfortable enough and pretty close to beach.
