Lovely staff, hotel could do with make over
Staff were really friendly and breakfast was fine. Hotel very much in need of refurb, room was shabby, carpet threadbare in places, furniture had bits missing, base of bed in two pieces not joined together, toilet roll holder missing, air conditioning not working properly - it was advertised as an executive room - no way! However, convenient for our trip

Whiffy.
Room had a strong odour, a bit like a wet dog. Cotton buds with earwax in the bathroom bin. Decor very dated and in need of sprucing up but the bed was comfortable.

After our previous trip where the elevator was not working, the manager remembered us and gave us a ground floor room. This was typical service from a well run and friendly establishment. We have stayed there 3 times and will again on our next trip to UK.

2/10 Poor

Not at 8.4!
Well unfortunately it was not great! First night the windo started leaking and drip, drip drip on the carpet it kept me up! Rain should stay outside. It was also fairly smelling of a damp moldy old room. It looked like a lot of water damage has been going on. This is not just a one time thing! The ladies at breakfast serving were delightful, and it was truly a fun unique experience. The desk lady during day was so kind and apologetic. Also bed was clean and comfy, but dont turn on lights, walls are filthy, cobwebs galore in seating room. Outside was so noisy. Sounded like you were in the traffic. Lift was broke, bathroom in lobby was out of order.... honesty i dont understand who rated this one in the 8's? Except for location, and kind people, and breakfast, this is a flop.

I am basing my review on the value for money for a London hotel. Good check in process with friendly staff. Room was ok for a short stay; tea & coffee and basic toiletries provision (24 hr tea & coffee facility also at reception). Bed was a bit soft for me but ok and room was reasonably clean. TV was very small, but minor issue.

The room itself wwas very small but since I was only staying for one night I didn't care. The room was neat and tody, and the bed/pillows was very comfortable. However, the room could really do wth some new paint, skirting boards and windowsills. The paint was scuffed and marked and looked dirty honestly. The bathroom was surprisingly nice however there was a ump of hair in the drain.

4/10 Fair

The goods are friendly staff and that the hotel is located in a nice area, near an underground station, there are many dining options near by and you can walk to the Kessington Palace, Royal Albert Hall, National History Museum, etc. The cons are that the hotel is old and not good taken care of. Our room has a mold odor, the bathroom didn’t look immaculate, the bed clothing too old and one size of the bed was next to a wood piece that made me afraid that I could hit myself with while sleeping if I’d slept on that side. Breakfast was ok but only 1 option of eggs: boiled which is not my favorite. Coffee, toast and orange juice were good but the ham and the cheese didn’t impress me. Fruit was good.

It should be importante to mention that the lift didn’t work the hole summer. I was with a person with des ability and we had to walk up to 3rd floor. In booking it was mention there is a lift! No body came to help for lagguage.
