Better then reviews suggested
Really only needed a base for one night, it was good for that reason....was warm, quiet, clean....small room, small bathroom...but everything was there for you to use....WiFi is extra....breakfast, although included, not up to much, cereal & toast only.... Was allowed to check in at 11.30, that was a big bonus....

2/10 Poor

Just awful
Sadly this place is not fit for purpose! I rarely give a bad review and always try and highlight the good points too but here there just wasn’t any! It was just awful! We ended up with the family room (still at £256 per night) as booked at short notice which was fine. There were 2 double beds and 2 singles, one of the beds was next to a mouldy wall and the other 2 had dirty pillow cases and sheets so me and my daughter had to share the only bed that was slightly better luckily one of the doubles! The wardrobe we opened and the back had fallen off the doors were broken as was the floor. All the chest of draws had seen better days. There was no toilet roll in what I can only describe as a filthy small plastic caravan shower/toilet. The carpet was so dirty that we didn’t even want to take our shoes and socks off! The sockets kept making loud noises so we had to turn them all off just in case and if we had turn the rusty old lamp on it may well have blown up! I would really encourage people not to stay here as you will be disappointed and then it’s too late! We didn’t bother complaining as the rest of the building looked just as bad so wouldn’t have been anywhere else to go!

A comfortable single bed in a small room. Ideal for my specific needs, at a reasonable price. Conveniently located.

Definitely not worth the money.
The room was very dated, there was no tea, coffee or milk. It was clean to a point but could have been cleaner. The bathroom needed to be much cleaner. It was extremely small and would have been more suited to a caravan or mobile home. Breakfast was cereal and toast. Not a continental breakfast that was advertised.

Don't expect too much
A very cheap and cheerful hotel that could do with some freshening up and a bit of maintenance. A bit grubby around the corners and probably needs a coat of paint. Breakfast is toast or cereal.

I would say avoid that hotel and save your money
Worst hotel I’ve cross the whole world , the room dirty and small bad, bathroom was horrible , breakfast, bred, serials with no bowl to use, spoons and knives not clean , we couldn’t speed , paid for breakfast , but found myself going to Costa to by bfrsjfast . Person was filming the breakfast area show the people how bad was that thing as I won’t cooled hotel , in heart of London .

Do not use!
We didn't stay. Alrhough we did not expect luxury, we did not expect the filth that met us! It was an absolute disgrace. The person on reception did offer a change of rooms to their sister hotel, next door, this was slighzly cleaner but in no way acceptable.

Hell on Earth
Arrived to be given a basement room which was disgusting. Dust everywhere and carpet hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Then we went to look at the en suite bathroom...wow. i wouldnt allow an animal to wash in there....filthy!!! After highlighting the state we were given another room in the next hotel along and although it was slightly better, still dust and hadn't been hoovered. It is an insult to charge over £100 per night to stay here....the place needs a power wash. If there is any organisation that is supposed to check hotels....i would visit asap as someone is going to get sick staying here.

The Hotel is incredibly good value for Central London. As a 2 Star, what you get is what you'd expect. Staff are nice and location is peaceful.

The receptionist was quite abrupt when we arrived not very welcoming. The place was dirty and very dated the bed had hole in. The quilt l had cigarette burns in.When we vacated the premises and handed in our key the receptionist was asleep on a quilt on the floor which I thought was very unprofessional. There was a sign saying don’t leave any valuables in your room? Why? Was it not secure? Will not be returning and would not recommend.

6/10 Good

The hotel is in a good location within walking distance of main line rail and underground stations as well as several museums. Staff were friendly and check in was very straightforward. Our room was a reasonable size and the bed was clean and quite comfortable. However, the en-suite was very small and accessed by a very high step which caused some problems. The shower head support was broken meaning that you had to hold the shower. The paintwork in the room was very shabby, faded and marked and there was a significant amount of dust behind the bed side tables and along some of the skirting boards and on the carpet in the corners. Wires and other lumps and bumps could be felt under the carpet. The TV screen and remote control were covered in sticky marks. Breakfast consisted of DIY tea/coffee, apple juice, cheap cereal and even cheaper bread for DIY toast. Other than that it was lovely!

They need major upgrades on this property. The bathroom was a camp trailer bathroom. The sheets did not look clean and the carpets did not look clean so we kept our shoes on the whole time. There was a younger gentleman that just did not seem inviting when we came in or asked for extra towels since we had 3 people in the room. The lady that initially checked us in was very nice and accommodating. She removed the Wi-Fi day charge for us.

OK for a night!
It was fine for 1 night as a solo guest. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Just needed somewhere to shower and sleep after a night out. Room could have been cleaner, hair on the floor of the shower and the walls of the room could really use a wipe down/repainting. Breakfast wasn't great, just a choice of cereal & toast, nothing else! That said, I'd still use again if I needed to stay in that area, good price for August!
