Don’t stay here. There are better options!!
We checked out after one sleepless night. Our room was so loud inside it felt like we were in a nightclub, but worse, because it was a mixture of 3-4 nearby clubs and bars music. The hostel itself hadn’t even started any live music yet when we arrived. I don’t know how the Hostel can actually charge money for this room, let alone nearly 100 dollars. The atmosphere was dead, the hostel is really big and not particularly communal. You’d be much better off in a cheaper and smaller place 5-10 minutes out of town. We checked out and were told we might get our money back if they let the room out again. They did sell the room but did not give us our money back. One of the managers was very rude about it saying that we were told it was a party hostel Nowhere on hotels.com does it call itself a party Hostel. This place is unfit for purpose. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms. The kitchen was smelly and dirty. One of the cupboards smelled strongly of mould. There were no forks.

Please do not stay here! An absolute joke.
The single worst hostel OR any place I have ever stayed. So loud my partner and I were shouting to each other (I’m not joking) in the same bed. We were given ear plugs on check in but they were not even close to good enough. We were here for one night of 4 before we left, they refused to refund us. And it was a private room at $100/night There is no Wi-Fi any where near the bedrooms only the lobby and it’s intermittent. The free water station has been empty every time I’ve seen it. The bar is dead all evenings (we keep walking past to see if it’s better) so it’s not like there is even a good atmosphere there. I’ve worked in hostels and clubs whilst travelling and this one is like no other. The other salina hostels are much better. The kitchen has one knife, a broken fridge and broken microwave. The bedrooms are in between 3 clubs. I have attached a picture of where I would rather stay and spend my money. The manager is also unapologetic and rude.

Not as advertised. I called you all 2 times for a partial refund, but you keep giving me the runaround I did get the insurance. This property was not as advertised. This property was not as advertised to me. I had to move. They took my keys and said only you can give refund. Back and forth with just giving me a refund.

Great location if you can handle the loud music
If you are in Montanita to party, Selina is your place. The location in close to everything and the service from staff was actually very good. They have daily events and keep you updated. The downside to Selina is also the location. The clubs on both sides play loud music with heavy bass that reverberates through walls until 4am. Even wearing headphones playing white noise, it was near impossible to sleep until the music stopped at 4am.

The room had a terrible smell, the floor was dirty and sticky, there was no soap in the bathroom. The toilet seat was all scuffed and needed and update asap. The bathroom curtains and door were all splattered with stains, there was no hot water and the noise from the nearby club was extremely loud. I would expect a lot more for the priced that we paid.

I never stayed here! Property was listed in close proximity. I was thinking walking distance from my search location. Being it was after 10pm when eye found myself stranded in a foreign country with my 7 year old, a low cell battery, and speaking very little Spanish. With that said i ended up being suggested this hotel. However upon booking and address check Google maps showed no transportation available. I asked a local who told me that street was not in that town. There were about 10 other hotels or hostels where we could have stayed. This IS what happened HOTEL RINCON D'OLON SAVED US.... THE OWNER DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE US RIGHT OFF THE BAT UNDERSTANDING MY SITUATION. BUT THIS HOTEL REFUSED TO RETURN OUR MONEY. It's totally unfortunate as we are not here for vacation but seeking asylum. Boy, this hotel must need every dime as much as we do. A partial return would have been better than nothing.

Price of the room is extremely expensive for what the offer, no breakfast, share bathrooms, the room has AC but the staff does not provide the controller. Room size is extremely small, the whole space is occupied by the bed, no room to even walk, it´s like a prison cell. Share bathrooms per floor, the room I was given had no windows, it rain that night and water drop into the bed.

Great place if you don't need much sleep (but that is to be expected in Mantanita) and are not too fussy about cleanliness or ambiance. We were however quite disappointed after staying at a really good Selina hostel in Cuenca. This one did not compare - it was very run down, no chairs to sit on by pool, few and uncomfortable chairs at breakfast location and no relaxing spaces like at the other hostel.

If you are going to party this is a great place. If you want to sleep do not stay here. This is a cheap place to stay but it is with good reason, the private rooms are extremely basic and the shared bathroom was a toilet with a shower in the corner. The shower curtain was falling apart, it was a home to many mosquitoes and smells really bad. The room also smells but it's a little better than the toilet. If you enjoy listening to four or five songs at the same time whilst trying to sleep this is the place for you. I'd recommend anywhere else :)

Not so good experience.
Well, I just feel like an abandoned property in some areas. For the pricey room of $48 they should be much better. The room was nothing as the one I saw in the pictures, are small and bathroom are super small and rustic, not modern. I know it is in front of the beach, but still you can find a better room with better services, like free classic breakfast, room in front of the beach, hotel in better condition, for the price of $25 a day tax included. The people working in there some were nice and some weren't. Need to have tv screen in the room. Need to be faster check in and check out. Need to make it gay friendly, Hey, you wana feel safe and happy. Need to have better promotions in the bar and more drinks selection. It was a part in the hotel in restauration, I think..looks bad. In general its a ok hotel for $20 a night, not for $48.
