Shopping in Ubud

Shopping in Ubud can be a big part of your holiday experience in Bali. The town is most famous for its art market, which is a central landmark opposite Ubud Royal Palace. A contributing factor to Ubud’s appeal as a shopping destination is that it’s a centre of artisan communities, with quality handicrafts sourced from dozens of neighbouring villages.

You’ll also find a wide range of shops and galleries fit for bargain hunting. From central Ubud, head down to the rows of shops along Jalan Monkey Forest. Venture further north to Tegallalang for woodcarvings or to the neighbourhood of Mas and Celuk for gold and silver products.
