Slice of Heaven
We are still reveling in how wonderful our experience at the Sofitel Mo’orea was. We had a gorgeous ocean view bungalow with basically our own private cove to swim in. The breakfast buffet was wonderful as was the Polynesian buffet and show. Nathalie, our concierge, was amazing and booked us some fabulous excursions. The staff is lovely. Our only small complaint was that the AC in our bungalow didn’t work properly so the room was not as cool as we would have liked, especially for what we were paying. Regardless, we will be back!

beautiful spot with a few things lacking
Beautiful location and property. White sand beach and amazing snorkeling. Large property with lots of space so it never felt crowded. We stayed in overwater bungalow #118 which was almost at the end so we had a good amount of privacy. For $1,000 a night, I expected the bungalow to be a bit more updated. You can see its age. The shower drain barely worked, the clothesline was broken, the grout had mildew and there were definitely lots of termites because a new pile of frass showed up daily. The outside of the bungalow was also tired and needed a refresh. The main restaurant was meh. The buffet was pretty awful. A la Carte was better but still lacking. The bar menu was horrible, the food and cocktails!! For how upscale and expensive the resort is you would expect much better food and drinks.

Enjoyed this resort. Had a over the water bungalow, it was just amazing. Did the half board (breakfast/dinner) included and the meals were good also with lots to select from especially since I am vegetarian. Staff was amazing and super friendly. If you need a place to relax and enjoy then this is definitely a place to be at. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
