The room was clean and spacious and the shower was great. My only criticism is that there were 2 double beds in a space that could easily accommodate 2 queen beds.

Great price, smaller motel but very well taken care of property, perfectly located for Lake Erie Wine Country. Its a 1960's motel but rooms are updated very nicely and very clean. The kitchenette in the room was very nice - included kitchen sink, 2 burner cook top, apartment size fridge, dinning table, microwave, coffee maker (including supplies), toaster, pots, pans, real coffee and drinking cups.

Gem of a property in beautiful Northeast, PA. The owners are very welcoming, the room was very clean, shower pressure was good, extensive channel selection on the tv, bed was comfortable and the in room coffee provided with cream and sugar was actually good, which is very seldom the case. Would definitely stay again.

July Colonial Motel Stay.
I had planned a visit to the North East, PA area and on previous visits had stayed at a chain motel in the area. I found the Colonial Motel listed online and saw that it had very favorable reviews so I decided to try it and was glad that I did. The motel is a single floor motel in an L shaped configuration with exterior entrances to the rooms where you can park your vehicle directly outside your room door. Check-in was quick and friendly. The motel looks like it was built in the 1950's or 60's but my room (and perhaps other rooms as well) appear to have been thoroughly remodeled and the room was spotless in regard to cleanliness. My room also had a larger sized mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and a two gas burner stovetop along with a sink. A full complement of utensils and pots and pans were in the drawers. Cable TV, wall unit A/C, and wireless Internet were included as well. The room seemed to be well isolated from outside noise as room was very quiet and the motel is located in a relatively quiet setting aside from some traffic from nearby Route 5. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay at The Colonial Motel and I will plan to stay here again on future visits.

We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely stay there in the future. Obviously a favorite for fishermen and seniors. Very clean. Very nice set-up. Very convenient if you don't want to eat out the whole time you are visiting. Ceiling fan acted up the last night, so it was kinda hot! However, stuff happens and was not the motel's fault. The fan looked brand new. One suggestion: Place reflectors at the base of the entrance ramps. Since this place is out of town and far from street lights, the black driveway ramps are very hard to see at night. Otherwise, wonderful.... and Thank You!

This property was just what I needed for a three night stay with a reasonable price. The room was clean, and had comfortable beds, if you like a softer bed. The room had a small kitchenette and refrigerator. Air conditioning worked well once I figured out which buttons to push. The motel had close proximity to a public beach area. I will stay again.

Very much a hidden gem of a motel! Soft clean sheets, pillows were like clouds. Shower was exceptionally HOT. Very friendly staff. Most noteable, very close proximity to beach access!
