A nice little gem just off of Union Square. It’s a cozy hotel and Frank was very pleasant at the desk. I would highly recommend this gem and will definitely be back again.

Hard to recommend.
Very hard to review this hotel. Firstly the gentleman who checked us in was definitely the rudest hotel staff member we have ever met. Started out by telling us off for not answering the questionnaire they emailed us, (went to our junk mail) Then he told us we MUST pack EVERYTHING away every day and leave the room for 2 hours each day so they can clean it, didn’t give us the option of no cleaning. The room was very small even for San Francisco, and the bed was the smallest my wife and I had ever slept on (including as children). The safe didn’t work for our 4 days of stay. Checkin closes at 10pm and doesn’t open until 9am so if you want to check your bill before checkout and have an early flight you can’t. (They instruct you to check out the night before). Now the good parts. The room was quite. The very small bed was very comfortable. The room was spotless and the hotel was clean. The décor was nice. The location was perfect. Every time I other staff member we met was lovely. If none of the downsides bother you this is probably a good place to stay. However because of how rude the checkin was I cannot recommend this hotel.

Nice stay
Excellent location in union square near museums with friendly staff. It is an older structure with lots of character. Wish they had fridge and microwave in room though.
