Great place to stay close to Kings Canyon NP
Lisa was extremely helpful in getting us settled into our cabin. She even helped us with our bags when we arrived and when we left. It is a rustic cabin with a separate bathroom and shower, as stated in the description. The bathroom was very close to our cabin, just a few steps away.

Malo,Mediocre, Caro

Rustic Motel close to King’s Canyon
Gena’s Sierra Inn was in a perfect location to get to King’s Canyon National Park. The bed was comfy and the room cozy. I was solo so it was the perfect size for me. The Restaurant has a big and varied menu and was perfect after a day of hiking. It is open from 5-9 PM and the food was yummy with very generous portions. The air conditioner was a little loud but the second night I was able to open my windows which was lovely. The owner is very supportive of quiet times so it was very peaceful and serene. A gas station with some groceries is just down the street with an excellent cafe across the street from it for morning coffee and breakfast/lunch. The people working at Gena’s were very upbeat, friendly and helpful.

I'd totally stay here again. Very clean, reasonably priced, close enough to a gas station and close enough to Fresno for anyone flying in there. Staff was helpful and very friendly. The restaurant isnt open in the morning/mid-day but the staff is quick to answer phone calls. I also overheard someone going above and beyond for a couple that was asking about food options while their restaurant was closed. Our group rented the Hunter's Lodge and a private room, in the future I'll book way in advanced to be able to secure the more private cabin.

Cabins are very small. It does not have features as mentioned in the advertisement. Right after your booking, you will receive such warning e mail instead upfront. It is not for 3 adults. Actually it is for two adults and a kid. The ceiling is so low, it is not possible to have comfortable sleep without hurting your head! The stair is not handy to use. The distances between the steps are huge. Therefore it is quite dangerous if you need to go to the restroom during the night. Everywhere is full with baby frogs. For us it is not worth it what you pay and what you get!

This was a nice place to stay next to Sequoia National Park. At the northern entrance. The noise from the Highway was a bit loud. Earplugs helped especially if you are a light sleeper. It was hot outside and the cooler was decent. Kept me cool all night. Nice back area for walking your dog, if you bring a pet.

For the most part, it was a great stay in a tiny cabin with a shared bathroom/shower and kitchen. However, a man who was cleaning staff entered our locked cabin using the passcode TWICE in the morning without knocking. This is unacceptable. Once was at 8:30am way before our check out time, and then he came in again later in the morning even though he knew we were still there. It did not feel safe. They should respect check out times and our privacy! At the very least if you want to clean the room earlier, knock on the door, say housekeeping, and wait for a response like a normal hotel would.
