Cute little hideaway for a 1 night stay
Great location and a nice remodel on an old building. Still needs some TLC as the paint is chipped and stained walls. Tub was nice but no stopper. Also the doorway was near one of the pools which would be convenient but not really safe for a solo traveler. Worth the value though.

The bed sort of listen to one side and was pretty lumpy. The pillows were flat. The water pressure was good, so that’s one positive thing. The a/c was not great - thankfully it wasn’t the middle of summer so it was tolerable. What wasn’t tolerable though is the mildew / mold smell coming from it and blowing it all over the room. So unhealthy and gross. It’s a beach hotel and was pretty inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for… I was a little uneasy learning that there is a company that owns a bunch of properties in the north beach area, including this one.

This was our second time to stay at Tranquilo. I knew I liked it before and felt comfortable booking it again. It did not disappoint. It is a well refitted old hotel and is so cute.

The first room we had was horrible it smelled awful and had bugs flying everywhere. We had to upgrade and that did get us a better room but it was almost double. The pictures are not what they look like. Make sure if you stay not to go to the last building. First building by the office is nice.
