Nice for overnight
The hotel is right on the main road so you hear trucks going by. The property was nice, room was nice. All they had was instant coffee in the rooms, YUK! Breakfast buffet was good. Almost EVERYTHING closes early so make restaurant reservations as early as possible. We got there later in the day and was lucky to get into the grocery store before it closed. Ended up buying a rotisserie chicken, with no plates or utensils in room to eat it. Overcast sky so didn’t even get to see the stars. Overall it was okay for one night. If you plan to stay longer to understand how things work there it might be better. But there is nothing to do in the town other than Dark Sky Project.

6/10 Good

Pretty average. Check in time was 2pm, we turned up a bit early and asked if room was ready, but told it wouldn't be ready till 3, so we went tiki touring till then. They then said it still wasn't ready so we had another room allocated (no biggie). The room 207 still had the plastic bag of trash outside it. This stayed there till we checked out the next day. Room was ok, but at 3am the winds got up, and you could hear the roof lifting and smashing back down - was loud enough to keep us awake. I rang reception and was asked if I wanted to move rooms, but at that point it was a bit early in the morning, so they said they would pass it to the morning crew. Next morning, informed the reception staff and to be fair they did apologise, but then the male staff member down played the seriousness of the complaint by telling me he had just built a house and this happens sometimes. As a tradie I can tell you this doesn't just happen and isn't something you ignore. Anyway it looked like I was going to get nowhere so just left, no discount or anything. I suggested they not let the room out until investigated so the next person gets some sleep.
