We had a very comfortable stay the night before getting the ferry - it was only a few minutes drive to the terminal. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room had everything you needed together with a comfy bed. Breakfast was great with delicious fresh fruit. There was a decked area outside which was a pleasure to sit in in the sunshine. The b&b was very close to town and was walking distance for dinner out.

good choice if staying in Picton
This B&B is clean and comfortable within walking distance to town and a few minutes drive to the ferry. The owners are delightful and provide a very nice breakfast. They even will offer to drive you to the ferry.

A pleasant stay in the vineyards!
We hired a bike from Patrick. There is a discount of $10 so it was $30. First time I've stayed at a place and paid for the bikes as it has always come complimentary with the accommodation but I suppose we were then insured etc. Patrick showed us a route that included 4 or 5 vineyards and a vineyard with a cheese plate for lunch so he was very helpful as we enjoyed our afternoon. For dinner we went to Herzogs which is a walk down the road. The cheese board was amazing but there really wasn't enough food. We had 5 courses and I felt sorry for anyone who had 3 courses as they would have been hungry. Perehaps Lunch in the Bistro is the way to go.

Stay exceeded expectations in every way - I highly recommend Anchor Down for the welcome, location, comfort and facilities. Hosts went out of their way to provide brilliant information and an alternative breakfast when I had an early start.
