6/10 Good

room was not cleaned when we arrived, bed unmade, towels on floor. To their credit, they sent someone right over and left a bottle of wine. Security light went on all night keeping us up ( Bottom floor ). Location was good, Recommend second or third floor if your staying. Since room was not cleaned, we were worried someone else had access to door lock code ( all doors outside as this is a large home renovated to hotel rooms. Room was ok for amenities, in fact very good with stocked kitchen and LED lit tile shower! Hot tub, bikes available for free and walled private area with door code access. Would stay again, but on second floor. Learn fromour visit. 1/2 mile to parades, good restaurants nearby with shopping.

Awesomness
Check in was a breeze. Ms. Rome is very attentive. I stayed alone and felt very safe. The fact that there were security cameras attached to the building was a plus in my book. I definitely will be back

ONE OF MY WORST EXPERIENCES AT A HOTEL
Well, where do I start? When we first got to our room, I immediately told the only employee on the property that the room they sent us to was not the room that we booked. We rented the room with the beds separated because my boyfriend snores and it keeps my grandmother up at night. So they sent us to a different room that only had one bed and I told them again, this was not the room we rented. After showing the employee pictures of the room we booked, she said they had changed the room around & the beds were now right beside each other. So after calling the manager and explaining that was the only reason we booked that room, they upgraded us to a better room which was great. However the next morning as we were leaving, we were packing up the car and my 75 year old grandmother fell because there was a dip on the sidewalk and broke her ankle in 3 places and the entire side of her face was bruised. I spoke to the manager and owner and all they really said was, sorry. They didn’t offer any kind of service to make up for everything that had happened. We paid $200 for switch rooms 3 times and my grandmother to break her ankle. The quality of the hotel was fine but just because of the employees and owner, I would not return. The city of New Orleans will have a law suit on their hands for their destroyed sidewalks and I don’t recommend going as a family.

I never received instructions on how to get into my room and there was no staff but once I called I received help which was nice and easy. The place is clean and very convenient. Beds are comfortable and room was clean. Definitely recommend this location.

Very nice location - a short walk to hop onto the Charles Street streetcar and be able to get downtown to restaurants, bars, etc. A little funky but definitely a fun place to stay. Full-sized fridge and stove.

Loved the Magazine Mansion! It is close to some precious shops and quaint eateries. We had walked on Magazine Street before, but not this section. We will definitely be back.

6/10 Good

Not as good as the reviews portrayed.
I would not recommend this as a place to stay. I could not get in touch with anyone about my room until the next day when I didn’t need help anymore. The air conditioner wasn’t in the room with the beds which made it very hot while sleeping. The thermostat was just on 64 and it didn’t help. It advertised free parking and a complimentary continental breakfast neither of which we could find. We parked on the street and worried that our car would be gone whenever we woke up. They advertised their location as being “nearby” several areas that we wanted to visit but we had to drive there instead of walk. The only positive is the bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. I do not recommend staying here.

Unique and Comfy
This place was fantastic! If you're looking for something unique this is it. Great B&B environment, super clean, super comfy, super stylish. I was in the Mardi Gras Suite, the shower-head even had flashing colored lights to celebrate the occasion. Stay here, you won't regret it.
