Comfortable stay
The beds have the right amount of firmness and softness that is comfortable to the back. They have extra pillows, a ref, a coffee maker and a microwave in the room. There are chairs in the balcony too. The bath essentials smells good. Our room is in the 2nd floor and the roof is what we see from our balcony if only they put turf on if it is not a fire hazard would have been nice.

What once was
Crown Plaza had always been my "go to" hotel for the area. Sure has changed in the last few years. On my recent stay, Reception met you with no smile, seemed bothered if you asked a question. Valet very courteous. Bar personnel fabulous! Cleaning crew very good! Grounds clean! There was NO hotel security at all and especially for New Years Eve! Apparently have been without security for a month or so. For three years in a row, the balcony windows are still covered with salt water, you can barely see out. No other hotels in the area have that issue of dirty windows. It seems it is getting to be run down. I doubt that I will go back. Too bad, too! Not sure if a change in management, but it has come down quite a few notches a lot. Great location, too! So close to everything! I hope it gets its look and care back!

Great view, needs updates
One night stayed with family. Booked 2 rooms with ocean view. Got limited options at check-in. Room is fine but small, a bit dated. Staff are friendly but not organized/managed properly (don't know who works where, who to ask for certain things, gave wrong info or direction, etc.). Restaurant staff who serve breakfast were very helpful and accomodating.

Poor experience overall
We won’t be staying here again. We paid more than $500 total for one night and had specifically booked a “one bedroom suite,” a room type we’d stayed in before. We paid extra for the two separate rooms with a door between as we were traveling with two small children and everyone sleeps better when they have their own quiet space. Well, after we’d unpacked and got everything set up and were ready to go to bed following a tiring trip, we realized that the interior doors had actually been removed from their hinges (??!). We were so tired at this point we just had to make do and go to sleep, but we’re not happy to say the least. I contacted the property afterward asking for a partial refund since we didn’t in fact get a suite but they were rude and ignored me. The room itself was extremely overpriced. The balcony was overlooking an HVAC system with trash on it. You have to pay for parking at the adjacent garage, which is also dirty and smells like pee, and schlep your bags over to the hotel. Not a $500 experience, especially with such crummy customer service. Will stay elsewhere next time.
