No 3rd time for me
This was the second time we stayed at Valli Hi Motel. The 1st. time I was very comfortable and the service was good, although I did get some kind of bug rash all over my body...You are probably why I would book the second time, well like I said the place was comfortable and the service was good, so I thought I'll give it another shot.. This second time was not so great at all... As soon as we stepped into the room we notice the toilet was leaking, and the tv had no signal, and there was no phone in the room (so I had to walk all the way to the from desk to let them know around 11pm). Then supervisor or owner decided he wanted to come check the toilet and the TV at that same time (after some of us were already in pj's) he didn't even ask if it was OK to check at this time. I just think he should have waited until the next morning, considering the time. And for last, the room had roaches and spiders...

The room seemed very nice and clean to visual appearance, however I had to switch rooms due to horrible rashes, which at first I thought was due to bed bugs. Overall the service and room were ok and comfortable. I just feel that although I was switched rooms, I should have not been charged for at least my last night stay due to the problem . I usually request not to get room service after just one night, until the second. I was told that because I didn't allow room service it was my fault that I got the rashes. I found that to be not only wrong but offensive.

Affordable, safe, and convenient
Stayed here for a quick trip to San Diego. This hotel was clean and felt safe. Customer service was great and there was nearby food and easy access to freeway.

The staff was pleasant. The property is in a good area. But we had cockroaches in the room and it needs a lot of work. They give you minimal amount of towels and blankets. There is a horrible smell at the property.
