Beautiful historic lodge
Beautiful historic lodge, very clean and nice antique decor. Bed was very comfortable. Front desk and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Convenient location to Avenue of the Giants and hiking trails. Definitely recommend!

4/10 Fair

According to the website, we were lead to believe there was a restaurant and bar. We were excited to not have to drive anywhere for these accommodations. Everything was closed and there wasn’t anything too close by. It was pretty disappointing

Restaurant and bar
Would have been perfect if the restaurant and bar were open. Nothing available for breakfast other than coffee. Lack of these was offset by a great room rate, but would have paid more to have food available. Overall, it was a beautiful old lodge and I would reccomend them.

They do not have an elevator to accommodate my visually impaired husband, so permitted us to stay in a suite in the lower floor. Very gracious gesture.

The hotel was very clean and the front desk person was very helpful to us during our stay. Do not recommend the food. It is microwaved at best.

Nice property, staff were helpful. I had issues with my booking, I booked "pay at property" but Scotia Lodge took the full payment at time of booking. I contacted Hotels.com, they called Scotia Lodge who refused to credit the payment. Also the $30 "resort fee" was strange, not much vslue there.

Such a unique place to stay! Very charming and so many thoughtful details. Only thing I woule change would be to offer a full menu restaurant and stronger coffee, but otherwise it was such a lovely stay and worth every penny.

We chose this hotel for 1 night as we travelled down the coast. I enjoyed the uniqueness and beauty of the renovation completed on this 100 year old lodge. The history of the town is interesting. I would recommend eating dinner before arriving as there are not a lot of restaurant choices. They do charge $30 for amenities, but through Expedia, making last minute reservations, I thought the price was fair compared to other options within 25 miles of this location. Also, There is a general store across the street.
