Shocking Experience – Misleading Policies
I’ve stayed at this hotel three times previously with my dog, relying on their advertised pet-friendly amenities. However, during my recent stay, I was shocked to discover that their pet policy had changed in April—something that was never communicated to me during booking or check-in.
When my partner arrived late Friday with our dog, she was refused check-in. Despite my requests for an exception or a reasonable solution, staff repeatedly refused and offered no viable options. I even offered to pay a cleaning fee, but the only suggestion was a far more expensive alternative at another property.
This left me with no choice but to give the room to my partner while I had to make a makeshift bed and sleep in my office with my dog. The lack of transparency, refusal to accommodate, and overall treatment were unacceptable.
If your policy has changed, it must be communicated clearly on your website and booking platforms. I won’t be returning after this experience and would caution others to confirm policies before booking.
