Good for dorms, BAD for private rooms
Benefits: - friendly staff - good party vibe - nice lounge facilities Drawbacks: - room air conditioning barely works, and they make sure it only works with a large key card (not credit card) so it takes about an hour to get your room to a comfortable temp - no water pressure on the 3rd floor. Apparently this happens in Thailand, but upon telling manager Matt he didn't seem to care we paid extra for a nice room, but only dorm rooms on the 1&2 floors has water. I would expect some sort of discount or extra, but he seriously did not care. - No internet on 3rd floor. Have to use bar or lounge internet. Dorm room internet works. Private room internet does not work..... -the "Deluxe room with garden view" is a view of another hotel's garden and pool with waterfall. I highly recommend you to stay at neighboring hotels and the just show up here for the party if a private room is your thing. -Pub Crawl advertises it starts at 8:30 with food, but food doesn't arrive until 9 and actual "crawl" of pubs doesn't start until 11:30. So know that. Because they won't tell you. -No elevator to rooms. Dorm rooms are on lower levels. If you pay more for private room, you need to climb stairs. Beware. -Bathrooms are a death trap for drunk people: super high bathtub/shower you have to climb into, small step into the room and the down into the bathroom, protruding sink to make sure if you fall you hit your skull on the way down. Good for dorms, TERRIBLE for private room!
