I wasnt expecting anything more than the 3 star hotel it is, which is sad for such a beautiful building with it rich history.
Service was fine. Decor dated, badly in need of massive/tasteful renovation (no doubt expensive though!)
Room - clean, tiny (is a twin). Radiator stuck om, was sleeping in a sauna, 'sleeping' is a stretch
- Breakfast - honestly, awful. Basic range (less choice than at Premier Inn), hot buffet was, er, not hot but stone cold. Sausages and Hash Browns tasted like they'd have been really nice if even like warm. Coffee machine was broken, no sign on it just several cups of hot wataer where customers kept trying to use it... instant avaliable but was possibly the worst cup of coffee I've ever had.
Bar - small, but lovely and representative of the history/building Whiskey Sour was top notch.
