Comfortable bed, great location, the room was clean, although bathroom needs an upgrade. Disappointed the pool/spa wasn’t open the whole time we were there. Apart from the lady who checked us in, the rest of the staff have an attitude as if everything’s too much effort.

The main reason to book Novotel is to use swimming pool and hit spa, but they told me it is not available to use and it will be available next morning. But next day still could not use. Disappointed on it.

Great location on the lake. Breakfast was great, however they could have done with another coffee machine!
Loved it!

I choose the park for the pool, however it was not advertised that it was under maintenance and not in use.

Too expensive for the services offered. Their swimming pool and spa is closed and still they dont mention at the time of booking. Parking is there but paid. No good concierge services. Lift tile was broken. Basin has chip. Didn't get welcome milk bottle but they kept checking paid supplies. House keeping happened at 3 pm after getting upset on staff. Heatpump has dripping sound at the nighy and so cant sleep properly.

Had a party downstairs that was extremely loud - clearly not sound proofed. Complained but it carried on quite late

Swimming pool was closed for maintenance with no notice, no call/email, nothing on website. Our boys were very disappointed as the pool was the main reason for booking. In the room the carpet was old, stained and needs replaced. Restaurant food quality was pretty poor and they had almost none of the wines in stock that were listed on the drinks menu.

Not disability friendly!
I came for the Disabilities Conference so expected them to be disability friendly but found quite the opposite.
I asked for help getting my bags downstairs and was told no by reception. She said there was no one around for an hour so I waited in my room and was found by the lovely cleaning lady. She helped me with my bags and complained to the two people standing at reception that this was not good enough from them.
I’ve also been emailed an apology from the manager about the incident but no offer of compensation for the humiliation.

Great location, right next to Eat Street. Bed was comfy - I slept well.
Unfortunately the room is old, outdated, unclean and smells bad (i'm not talking about Rotorua's sulphur smell - the bathroom reeks of sewerage).

The buffet breakfast and dinner were ok - could have been some better options but there was plenty to eat and enough choices to ensure everyone will find something suitable to them.

Front line staff should be seen to be happy & helpful, which they were not.
Towels were hit n miss, tidiness good.
Wine selection in restaurant was short of selection.
Parking questionable.
Other wise stay was very comfortable.
