Kings On Peace, Rotorua, New Zealand

Outstanding place to stay outside of Auckland. The suite was super in every catagory. Plenty of room and many extras. In a neighborhood setting with easy access to local restaurants and the beach. Owners were great hosts. One of the best places we have stayed in with extras provided that you wouldn't expect, including a bottle of wine.. Love our stay.

Wow. The place was amazing and super comfortable. We stayed in the 1 bedroom accommodation and it is large enough for 2 adult and 2 teenage boys. The boys used the hot tub every day! The deck area is completely fenced in and private. We were 10 days into a 14 day trip. We specifically booked at Kings On Peace for the washer and dryer. They were new and clean. It did not disappoint. We must did at least 5 loads of laundry. We knew when we booked that the hotel is a little far from the center of town. It is 30 minutes walk from the I-Site Tourism Center / bus stop. We walked from the bus stop to Kings On Peace. When we arrived to check-in, Tristan offered to drive us back to the bus stop when we are ready to leave. We had so many luggages, she had to make 2 trips. Thanks Tristan!

We stayed at Kings on Peace for 3 nights while in Rotorua, and it was an absolute pleasure. The entire property is well kept and lovingly managed. We stayed in the studio room and it was spacious and well thought out. The appliances were in fantastic condition, the bed was firm but comfortable, the internet speed was the best we had during our trip throughout New Zealand, and the shower...AMAZING shower! The private 2-person hot tub on the deck was wonderful as well. The separate washer and dryer were great to have too! The location is central so it was just a few minutes to get to all the major sites. It's also a very quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Rotorua. Just a couple of things to consider: each unit comes with a dedicated parking stall right outside of the unit, but be aware that parallel parking may be required. You can park out front on the street if needed so it's not a huge issue. Please also be aware that this isn't a hotel so there are not door hanging signs for privacy or room cleaning. Privacy was never an issue, but if you're like us and don't want your room cleaned everyday, you'll need to make a quick easy call to reception for the request. Kings on Peace was a gem of a location while on our adventures through New Zealand. We want to keep this place a secret just for our use, but we wish them all the much deserved success!
