Noisy
Stayed here a few times and always been great but last night at 3 am and again at 4.30 am doors getting banged repeatedly on the corridors and when I told the lady on reception she didn’t seem in the least bit bothered. Definitely not the restful nights sleep I was expecting 😢

Could do better.
The building is lovely and the location is great.i know we paid hardly anything for the room but it was not fit for purpose .The staff were lovely and gave us a different room with a comfy bed but the room is massive and only one small electric heater working .The hot water despite running for 25 minutes was Luke warm so no shower or bath for us.The decor is very eclectic with everything painted gold and padding on the bath panel .Overall fairly clean but the room looks tired and in need of some tlc.I have been told there have been a few changes of ownership which may explain that .Have not tried the food went to the lovely pub over the road .So for the money it was ok but not happy that couldn't shower and was so cold in the room .

Good for a night away just a few tweeks needed
We visited liverpool markets and wanted a night away, so stayed outside liverpool as cheaper. Arrived approx 8pm, nice welcome, straight upto the room. It was okay, tv reception rubbish, netflix was fine. It had a jacuzzi bath, but barley big enough for 1. I did have a soak, tried the jets, they worked but went off as i think i was blocking some of them with my hips lol, im an average 16/18 size and im 13 weeks pregnant. I came to get out the bath, i saw black bits all ober the bottom of bath, it must have come out the jets , but with bubble bath i didnt see straight away, yak. So trying to get out the bath was difficult, couldnt get up, nothing to hold onto, slipped and banged my right under arm on side of bath, did this twice, i now have a bruise, but no handles to lift myself out, my partner after us both laughing so much and me creating a tsunami falling back in the bath emptied it, and then i eventually got out. Bed was okay had a fairly restful sleep. Woke up and went for breakfast and that was nice, plenty of choice cereals, toast, menu of cooked breakfas, eggs benedict and many more. It was a nice break from the norm but could do with a face lift.

Freezing! Temp outside was 7degrees, temp in room 9 degrees. One tiny electric heater in the room which I switched to max, by 7am the room temp was 8 degrees! On first glance it is clean, but when you actually look, there are spider webs and dust all over the curtain tops and bed frames. The luxury vibe is made nonsense by the quality of the room supplies and the menu. I had the steak, it was ok but nothing special, rocket and parmesan was well past sell by date.

Served a purpose
The room was a good size and comfortable. Electric heater was shocking and needed to be on pretty much all day to keep it warm. Good shower in a large bathroom. For some reason all the doors were kept open in the hotel which didn’t help with the heat of it.

Unexpected upgrade on check-in was entirely unexpected and was appreciated, although I didn't know what to do with all the extra space.

If your on business and need WiFi don’t use this j
Wi-Fi on the room was abysmal. I am on business and I need to work in the room and I can’t. Wi-Fi should now be like hot and cold running water, shouldn’t even be amazed when it works well. But this was rubbish.
