Great amenities and convenient location.
Central location and close to CBD. Lots of convenient features with Barclays, we had a two bedroom well equipped room. There was a balcony and plenty of access so we were able to open our doors and windows to allow for cool air. It’s a little noisy as it is a city but closing the windows solved the noise issue. There was a couple of stains on the carpet and some snags where the carpet had come loose. The staff was very friendly and helpful, greeting us and each time we entered. The rates are a little lower so the clientele reflects that at times. Overall I’d gladly stay here again.

Excellent Stay
Great stay. Easy to self park in car parking building and then hotel is right next to it. Couldn't check in early but that was ok and once in room was excellent. Clean, quiet and had a fantastic view of the harbour, harbour bridge and marina. Bead super comfortable. Hotel right in downtown Auckland.

Fantastic with a great view! The shower is tiny and you get stuck in the corner but was clean. The bed was a very thin mattress so wasnt as comfortable as id have liked. Great place to stay though. Parking was convenient and easy.

Stayed in tower suite. Spacious but lots of skimping on service, stayed 3 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned at all and we had to ask for facilities like coffee and clean towels. Reception seemed ambivalent. Road works outside the hotel were noisy at 6.30am. Bed linen and pillows low quality.

Barclay Residences is very convenient, the apartment was spacious with everything I needed: good bed, washer/dryer, small kitchen. Central location was useful although the area was not pretty or attractive. My only negative about the hotel was the appearance. Everything was grey, bland and dated.

The receptionist was sour and not welcoming. One of the lifts were not working so we waited in a queue for 10 minutes to get to our floor. The room layout was great with generous sizes rooms and a good view. The balustrade on the deck was frighteningly wobbly. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and uncleared and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. The couch was dirty brown on arms and bathroom skirting and walls were dusty and had grime splatters on them. The footpath access outside was uneven and dangerous with construction work.

The road works are the main problem, area out side the building the looking dirty and dilapidated and businesses and other building are showing the signs of needing a tidy and refresh. The value offered meant I was happy but not sure I would bring my family to stay, which I was planning.
