Good for the price!
Good hotel for the price, staff very friendly and covered free parking at the rear. This was perfect as there was a snow storm during our stay. Rooms are small but shower is fantastic with powerful jet. No safes/lockboxes in the rooms but desk staff can keep things for you if needed. Beds are comfy and rooms warm even in December. Breakfast was ok as there was a good local selection and some warm food, but on our first day no warm food was served as they had staffing issues. Location is also great as easy access to the main highways, but there are restaurants around the hotel, especially Nings Chinese.

Exceptional 10.0
Lovely hotel on the edge of the city.
Hotel was great, free covered parking, lovely rooms, functional open plan bar / reception / lounge / breakfast area. The complimentary breakfast was more than sufficient to start the day, a selection if hot and cold foods, cereals, fruit, breads and spreads, tea, coffee and fruit juices. Rooms are spacious, warm and well equipped, tea / coffee making facilities, hair dryer, robes and slippers and a large TV with a range of UK stations. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is 20 mins walk from city centre, but has a selection of restaurants in close proximity catering for all tastes, pizza, sushi, steaks, pasta, Mexican, Vietnamese and Chinese so you'll not be stuck for choice if you don't want to venture into town. All trips and tours do pick-up's directly from the hotel which is a bonus.

This hotel was close to the downtown area. We rented a car so getting around wasn’t an issue.

Plaisant stay and good service. If I come back it will be for sure at the Reykjavik Light.

A good hotel for 4 nights
We had an enjoyable 4-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, although very basic. The breakfast was quite good, with many options for both hot and cold foods. There were several nearby restaurants that we enjoyed for dinner, and parking in front of the hotel was a plus. The only downside was the poor and unhelpful attitude of the reception staff. In spite of that, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
