Good value for money. Central location. Friendly helpful staff. My only critique is that the beds were not the most comfortable, and additional pillows could also have been provided as we each only had one

Service great but they need help

The staff in this hotel where amazing they are working so hard and are clearly under staffed. After speaking to several ofc them there are many vacancies but nobody is applying for them. Just like to thank all the team for making our 25th Anniversary a good one.

    Excellent Stay

We cannot fault any part of our stay at this hotel. From check in to leaving, it was wonderful. Really easy and fast check in with no complications. We booked a slot for the pool , again with no problems. The pool isn't huge but does the job. Its good to get back to normal with the breakfast situation where you can serve yourself very hearty and tasty food, with plenty of selection. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Previous reviews have not been great for this hotel but that may have been the time of year ie school holidays . This was not the case for us.

    Terrible!

I have stayed in Novotel Hotels on several occasions and always been satisfied and pleased with the quality, friendliness of the staff, etc. but unfortunately on this occasion it wasn’t anything like previous stays at Novotel premises. Here are the reasons: A long wait to check-in (around 25 mins). The pool is not as nice as the website photo suggests. An uncomfortable bed and we were woken up early due to a lot of noise to the rear of the hotel where our room was situated (beer barrels I think being scraped along the floor for a long, sustained period). An unsuitable table for 3 of us to dine for breakfast and no fried eggs initially and had to chase the chef as I could see the eggs had been made but not served. A good central location but I would definitely choose a different hotel next time. I love Liverpool but the hotel partly spoiled the trip unfortunately.

Staff are kind, rooms were comfortable, breakfast (food) good, but the reception lobby was a mess as everyone for check in and out, collecting gym or swimming pool key, waiting in the long queue to be seated for breakfast and other services, were waiting in a small lobby entrance! Moreover, the swimming pool was tiny yet it had a capacity of 25 people despite there being a booking system.

    Bank holiday stay

We were a family of four who stayed for the Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday. Check in was quick when we arrived at around 8pm but the sofa bed has not been made up when we got to the room. Thankfully this was sorted out promptly while we had a drink in the bar. Our room was on the 8th floor with a view of the Q car park over the road. I thought that being high up, we might escape some of the noise from the street but unfortunately not. Being in the city Centre, next to the bars and restaurants of Liverpool One, on a bank holiday weekend meant there was lots of noise from revellers, police sirens and cars beeping during the night which didn’t result in a great nights sleep but maybe there are quieter rooms at the back of the hotel. Otherwise the location of the hotel is very convenient for all the main city Centre attractions.
