Top neighbourhoods in Toronto

Downtown Toronto

City centre Toronto buzzes with energy where theatre marquees light up the night and glass towers reach for the sky. The iconic CN Tower dominates while cultural gems like the Art Gallery of Ontario and Royal Ontario Museum wait to be explored. Sports fans can catch games at Rogers Centre or Scotiabank Arena, and shoppers lose themselves in the massive CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Getting around is a breeze with Dundas Station and tram stops connecting you to every corner of the city. Food options range from quick bites in underground food courts to upscale dining near the financial district. Hotels cater mainly to business travellers but put you right where the action happens.

Yorkville

Yorkville welcomes you with high-end designer boutiques and five-star hotels nestled among historic Victorian architecture. The Royal Ontario Museum's crystal addition stands proudly near cobblestone streets dotted with art galleries and stylish cafés. Once a 1960s folk music haven, this Toronto area now balances luxury shopping with cultural hotspots that attract sophisticated travellers. Dining ranges from Michelin-quality restaurants to charming pavement cafés, though expect premium prices throughout the area. Hotels offer concierge services and upscale amenities, while excellent public transit via Bay Station connects you to Toronto's highlights. The neighborhood's walkable streets make exploring its museums, shops, and the nearby University of Toronto campus a breeze.

Toronto Entertainment District

Toronto's Entertainment District buzzes with marquee lights, theatres, and nightlife that never quits. The Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales theatres draw culture seekers, while families flock to Ripley's Aquarium. CN Tower looms overhead as music spills onto pavements from comedy clubs and sports bars, creating a sensory maze of activity. Getting around is a breeze with nearby subway stations and frequent King Street trams. Upscale steakhouses and cocktail lounges cater to theater-goers, while hotels range from luxury high-rises to boutique properties with city views and theatre packages.

Kensington Market

Kensington Market buzzes with bohemian energy where vintage shops, global food stalls, and colourful street art create a one-of-a-kind Toronto experience. Narrow streets fill with the scent of spices and incense while independent bookshops and artisan studios form an eclectic maze. The Spadina Avenue Shopping District and historic Kiever Synagogue showcase the neighborhood's diverse cultural heritage. Getting around couldn't be easier with metro stops at Spadina Avenue and excellent walkability throughout the area. Travellers can feast on Ethiopian, Caribbean, and Mexican cuisine from casual vendors before browsing vinyl records and handmade jewellery. The market's Victorian houses painted in bright colours perfectly capture its creative, non-commercial spirit.

West Queen West

West Queen West buzzes with creative energy through its colourful street murals and converted warehouse spaces. Art lovers can hop between indie galleries, vintage shops, and record stores along this trendy Toronto strip. The Drake Hotel anchors the area with its popular rooftop patio, while nearby Trinity Bellwoods Park offers a green escape from the artistic urban landscape. The dining scene ranges from Korean-Mexican fusion spots to craft cocktail bars with late-night bites. Boutique hotels and design-forward B&Bs provide stylish accommodation with artistic touches. Getting around is a breeze with frequent tram service and highly walkable streets lined with artistic treasures.

Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"From entering to leaving the hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful. Amenities such as the fitness center, and their bag holding service prior to us, leaving for the airport was top-notch. Did not get to use the pool, but it was busy and nice to know we had it available. Only thing to note, but I will preface it by saying when I brought it to the front desk, concierge’s attention she handled it as as she could and give us a complimentary drink since we were checking out. It was a slight issue with the shower, which I brought up upon checking out not to complain just so they could fix it when they had time. It was not a major effect on my stay at all. I mentioned it not because of the issue, but because of how the staff did what they had in their control to address it and help me. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the downtown Toronto area close to everything you’d want to see, even a 24 hour 7-Eleven if you case we needed anything in an emergency."
