"The hotel bar was closed due to renovation. Everything's just a bit dated, and I can understand that they want to renovate. The spa area was nice for the kids. I couldn't figure out how to get the sauna hot - might have been a user error. Walkable to Tom Tit's, the main street and the train station. We forgot an item in the room, the staff is very accommodating and helpful even after we've left. I would come back to stay here again just for the sake of the pool

"First visit to Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. Location, facilities, room, staff and food was impeccable. We are frequent guests to both Ystad Saltsjöbad and Villa Strandvägen, both exquisite hotels. But after visiting Grand Hotel in Saltsjöbaden, we have a new favourite! Our 40 sq m LUX room had a stunning ocean view, and despite ongoing renovation of the hotel, we could not help falling in love with the views and atmosphere of this old and impressive building. "A nice stay witha nice room. The hotel is kind of cool and the restaurants good. For those who are more eager about wines, this is the place to be with a vast selection. Also a popular place for conference. As I usually judge hotels by their gyms, I must admit that I felt it was a bit on the smaller side and cramped. There was room for 6 people, so it might need some expansion. And a few TVs in the gym would not hurt eventhough the image was ok. Did not have the chance to try the rooftop...

"We had a great stay although service could be better. The resort is kept in great condition and everything feel nice and clean. Food was great although 2 out of 3 restaurants were closed for summer, which was a bit sad. We stayed two nights and would have been nice to try another restaurant for the second evening. The spa is very nice and clean with a great selection, never felt too busy either. We will be back for sure."
