"The royal station hotel was simply stunning, in the heart of old Newcastle- so much character, the room was perfect, all of the staff was pleasant, and the restaurant food was great!"
"I chose this hotel for location to the train station and good price point for a one night stay after going to the theatre. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, it was immaculate. Comfortable bed, though we were facing a main busy street, the noise did not affect us. Polite, friendly staff and impressed that when we returned late at night, a member of staff checked we were staying before allowing us in. The room was compact, but perfect for our stay. A beautiful old building, well maintained. "
"The stay was incredible and I really appreciate how they were able to extend my stay last minute. The rooms were really clean and well designed and the cafe downstairs was great for snacks and breakfast. The location was also great, as it was only a few minutes walk to the train station and many local restaurants.
The only thing I do not recommend here is the restaurant on the 2nd floor. It is extremely overpriced for breakfast and dinner options and the portion size and food quality was not worth the price. I recommend eating at other restaurants that are easily walkable and for breakfast just go to the cafe downstairs."
