We were within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as Times Square and the Empire State Building, which made it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Being so centrally located also meant easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and entertainment options. The staff were professional and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile. It’s clear that the hotel is well-managed and committed to providing a high-quality guest experience. Overall, our stay at the New Yorker Hotel exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City, whether for a family vacation or a quick weekend getaway. "

"If you are looking for an authenticly New York City experience then this is the place to stay! I don't usually write reviews, but the staff at the Hotel St. James clearly take pride in what they do and deserve to be recognized for it! From the maintenance and up keep of this historical building to the overall cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the front desk clerks (with the most NYC accents you've ever heard), it's clear they know what they are doing at this adorable hotel. All of this on top of the affordable prices and the unbeatable location in the heart of Times Square make it the best place in NYC to stay in my personal opinion!"

"Great location elevators take time "

"Simple but clean, had the necessities. We only used it to sleep and shower so it was all we needed. The baggage storage is nice and fast, and they even offered free ponchos at the front desk when it was raining. Would stay again for the price and accessibility to the subway and central location."

"Interesting modern revamp of a classic 1920's building. Open-space lobby is more like a lounge, with music (sometimes live) and tons of comfortable seating options -- there were always a number of people hanging out there, sometimes enjoying coffee or a drink from the bar. Staff members were all friendly, helpful, and extremely competent; when we stopped by the front desk to ask for someone to check out a problem we were having with our TV, we had barely left before the technician was arriving. Luggage storage is available before and after checkout for a very reasonable fee. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location is within easy walking distance of a number of theaters, restaurants, and subway stations. 100% would stay again. "
