Positives: The location of this hotel is great if you want to be close to Times Square. So for the price, I guess this hotel is doable. It also includes a very basic breakfast (hard boiled eggs, cereal, donuts, bagels, and eggo waffles) Downsides: This place is DIRTY and small! We first walked in the room and it smelled of cigarettes and wow was it tiny! This was also right after we had to sign saying we would incur a $400 charge for smoking in the room. I started unpacking some things and then saw 2 ash trays sitting behind the TV. I called down and told them that I booked a non smoking room. The front desk called us back after several minutes and did change our room for us. The second room smelled cleaner and was a tad bigger. Definitely doable for my husband and I and our 2 young boys with only 2 suitcases. This wouldn’t work with 4 adults. Stains on the chairs in both rooms. The room we ended up staying in had spots/scratches all over the bathroom mirror and the bathroom fan was caked with dust. This hotel is in need of renovation. Housekeeping was basically just to make our bed and change out our towels. Some days they didn’t even replace the bag in our ice bucket and just left it out on the counter. (Only ice machine is in the lobby) Overall, we will probably just bite the bullet and spend a bit more the next time we visit.

Hotel needs a lot of work but good location
- Starting of with the check in.. the front desk agent didn’t even say welcome or asked for our name she just looked at us like “what?” She did mention that I requested a high floor room with a view but unfortunately they didn’t have it’ll and to please call tomorrow morning to switch rooms.. awesome I get it.. - Next day I call in the morning and the front agent that answered me kept asking me why I was going to change rooms and kept yelling at me... so I ended up staying in the same room because I didn’t want to deal with her attitude. - The room was ok, basically all that we needed because we just went there to sleep.. most of the day we were around NYC... I do have to say though that the hskp needs to work on their cleaning. The tub in the bathroom was full of mold, and also spider webs YUCK! - Breakfast was ok. They need to change it up everyday. Every single day is the same things: bagels, hard boiled eggs, coffee, toast, donuts.. I mean seriously??! No bacon, sausages? Even more fruit other than bananas and apples? - Every single morning before 9am you will hear hskp vacuuming the hallways and making a lot of noise. You can’t sleep in because they are basically waking you up early every day. - Last but not least, the bathroom at the lobby was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. It was dirty everywhere and it’s not even exaggerating. HORRIBLE. And you needed a key to get in.. so weird. Hotel needs a lot of work, but location is great. Close to everythin

Ugly concierge
Upon check in, the experience was okay. A customer was in front of me, and his English not very good, and the front desk was not very friendly and I can tell he is making fun of the customer. The room need to be update, the carpet need to be change, actually the entire hotel need to be update. Bed is comfy, I had a good night sleep, the next day I checked out, I spoke to the hotel front desk where can I store my luggage, and she told me is around the corner by the concierge desk. I waited near the concierge desk, and notice there is another corner, I wanted to make sure I am standing at the right corner, I asked the concierge desk agent work on (May 19th, 2018 morning), my question starting out: Hi, I was just making sure about the storage (He cut me off, and saying storage need to speak to the front desk) But I wasn't finish my question, I was going to ask, if this the right spot waiting for the bellman for the storage. Later I spoke to the bellman, he said the concierge desk don't work for the hotel, they changes people everyday. Note to the hotel, FIRE this concierge company, these people have no customer service skills!! Just because of that reason, I will not be back, just because I don't want to see them ugly people

A great find!
I booked this place for my daughter and I to celebrate her 16th birthday. We had two queen beds, a table and chair, another chair in the corner, and a dresser with a TV. The room is fairly small but perfectly fine for just her and I. The window overlooked an alley so not much light came in, but we were out most of the time anyway. I really enjoyed the character of the hotel--tiny elevators, winding staircase to the 2nd floor, and narrow hallways. The room was clean and I felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again! The only red mark is the staff was not very friendly. They were not rude, but never smiled or said anything extra--"I hope you have a nice stay" or "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Very robotic and blah. In regards to parking, there is a garage across the street that offers a discount of $40 for 24 hours when you stay at The Hotel and the attendants there were awesome! I would stay here again due to location, cleanliness, and parking was a breeze!

Great hotel. Fantastic location. We stayed in the “family room.” It’s a room with 2 beds (one king, one queen), but in different rooms, they are separated by a door. It almost like an “adjoining” room, but no lock on the door between. The bathroom is in the room with the larger bed. The smaller bed has the front door to the room. This is perfect for couples that are traveling with friends/family that are single (like one parent or grand parent) or for the title of the room.......families. The space is limited, but was perfect for our needs. I would stay here again. The continental breakfast was free each morning. It is the standard continental fare, bagels, toast, frozen waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruits, coffee, juices/milk. Nice to have a meal that is included in the price of the room. It’s SO expensive to eat in NYC.
